Patterns for creating dolls in period costumes ,delightful book, well researched informative, she writes that dresses of this period are of the gored skirt no bustle full at the feet. Looking up the hook and eye hasn't invented till 1900 so the snaps would most likely be the better to use. Look at pictures taken. Dress is made from a vintage handkerchief and vintage lace and clear button. This was so much fun to create need to make more for sure. Her bonnet is made from felt and lace and her umbrella is made from a batten-burg doily, used crystal beads also. I know this is one of a kind, I most likely won’t be making this again ! My what a job! Very hard to get done if I do say myself. Doll is not included
