Description: Mid-century folk art candle holder in the shape of a man wearing ethnic clothing and playing a violin. Hand painted and signed by the artist, Ursula Printz. Holds one small candle. According to the "Mother Sweden" website, Ursula Printz (1920-1993) "was one of the distinguished Nordic ceramists of the 20th century. She is most know for her faience production at the Gustavsberg factory in the 1940s. Ursula's artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design." Stands 6 inches tall. Two small chips on the brim of the hat, as shown in photograph (not very visible). A charming example of Scandinavian folk art.
