Description: For offer a very unusual Victorian period skirt lifter in the shape of a fist, from 1876. The fist slides up & down to open & close the skirt lifter. It is attached to a silk cord that may have been held on the wrist or belt. It is made from bronze or brass & measures approximately 5" long.
