Description: This is a nice sterling zodiac pendant medallion representing Cancer the Crab (dates June 21 - July 22). The crab is rendered in copper, with a flush breccia mosaic setting, which I believe to be Malachite. I see online that a number of different craftspeople in Mexico produced necklaces in this zodiac series, but as the imprint is indistinct, I can't be certain who made this one. Nevertheless, the workmanship is good, and the piece has held up well over time (mid-20th Century). I have not cleaned the pendant or chain, as many people wish to keep the original patina. The pendant itself hangs from a 20" twisted rope chain (lobster clasp), all also made of sterling. Overall weight 18.43 grams. Buy It Now, with free shipping.
