Vogue Strung Transitional Ginny 1950-51 "Mary Lamb" Extremely RARE

Description: EXTREMELY RARE 1950 EARLY Vogue Strung Transitional Ginny with even, highly blushed cheeks with no scuffs. Her "transitional" tri-colored sleep eyes work with your gentle assistance with no scratches to the eyelids. Her eyelashes and brows are distinct and brown in color. Her original blonde Mohair side part wig is in exceptional condition, mostly in the original factory set with some flattening to the back from the bonnet. Ginny is appropriately marked "Vogue Doll" on her back, and "Vogue" on her neck and is a strung doll, not a walker, can stand on her own, hold all poses, and has no seam splits, cracks, stains or odors. Her body is richly toned and all parts match in color. She has all her fingers and toes. A MINT condition doll! This one is an exceptionally nice, all-original "Transitional "strung doll. Ginny is dressed in a fabulous and extremely rare excellent condition 1950-51 "Mary Lamb" from the Character Group. This very early ensemble is not tagged as many of the early ones were not. It is a rare blue version of the Mary Lamb dress of cotton with butterfly sleeves and attached blue and white check attached apron edged in white rickrack, matching check bloomers and poke bonnet. It is an overall immaculate outfit in excellent condition and closes in back with the original hook and eye closure with a bit of rust, the matching bloomers have slightly loose elastic at the leg openings, and the bonnet ribbon shows wear after being tied and untied over the past 74 years. Also included are her original nylon socks and blue oilcloth center-snap shoes with working Greek key snaps and slick bottoms. Most difficult to find are the original Irwin Plastics lamb and original shepherd's crook which originally came in the boxed set. There is no original box. You may verify this doll and her outfit on page 27 of Barbara Clark's book, The colorful World of Ginny. Please feel free to ask me questions. I want only delighted customers! This doll will be lovingly boxed and shipped Priority for $12.95 which includes $100 insurance and signature delivery confirmation. No International sales at this time. No returns unless I have grossly misrepresented her or made a terrible mistake.
