Description: Vintage 1940s Little Mother Sewing Machine, Hand Crank, Craft Room Decor, Sewing Collectible, Mid-Century Toy, Nice Vintage Condition For your consideration is a lovely working vintage toy sewing machine found recently at a local estate sale. This toy sewing machine has a cute red body with only a small amount of chipping seen along the base. A clean and complete original decal shows the picture of a little girl with the caption "Little Mother." The silver fixtures all seem intact, with surface rust noted on the presser foot and needle and a slight crease seen on the plate. Fabric is fed onto the plate by lifting the foot with the top lever, and the sewing needle moves up and down when the hand crank in spun by turning the black wooden knob. A slight frame laxity is noted when the sewing crank is engaged. Please carefully review all photos for further details. Measures approximately 8" long x 4" wide x 8 1/2" tall, and weighs 15.3 oz. Manufactured circa 1940 by Artcraft Metal Products Inc. of Columbus, Ohio. We have not tested this collecible toy to see if it actually sews, but even if if doesn't, it sure is charming, and would make a wonderful decor accent in a craft room, bedroom or other living space.
