Description: This gorgeous Jomaz / Mazer tulip spray brooch has incredible construction--we have included photos of the intricate details. We believe it is probably Mazer because we think it was made before Joseph Mazer created his company in 1949. We did select Jomaz as the brand, however, because it doesn't look like eBay differentiates the two brands in the Item Specifics section. It is in wearable, fair vintage condition. Its wear is consistent with age and use. It is not missing any rhinestones, but several of the clear ones have deadened. For this reason, we also did not attempt to clean this piece. We did not want any rhinestones coming loose. We have been able to attribute it as Jomaz / Mazer because of its general look, its unique 3 & 4 branch pistil construction, its uncommon rhinestone prong caps, its deadened clear rhinestones--a common issue for the Mazer brothers--and its singular "R" front at the base on the back. We saw other pieces with "B" and "T" single letters in the same font. Also interesting: the larger blue rhinestones do glow a slight green under UV. We don't know if this is something uranium related? They test as glass, and we have seen other pieces with unusual UV-glowing stones. A rare, fun treasure and a wonderful addition to any collection.
