Description: For auction is a lovely vase made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Baldin" and the piece is just delightful. The vase is tall as it measures 9 5/8" tall and is 5 3/8" in diameter at the very bottom. The top has a diameter of 5 1/8" outside measurements. The vase displays a tall cylindrical and corseted shape. It has a wonderful blending of greens and browns, earth tone semi gloss glazes. This is known as the Flemish glaze. The vase displays several very realistic looking apples at the top of the vessel. The apples are hanging from branches and are ripe, plump and some are ready for picking. The leaves have very nice coloring in them as well. The apples are glazed in red with yellow. I believe they are Macintosh apples or "Macs" as we say here in the Northeast. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is your typical nuances like glaze misses, glaze pops and irregularities but nothing too obtrusive. The bottom shows very minor wear. The piece is not signed but there is a number "7" for good luck written in a black glaze or paint. There is no mistaken that this vase was made by the Weller Pottery Company as this is a well documented pattern. This Weller Baldin vase has some wonderful coloring and detail. I'm sure the buyer will not be disappointed with their purchase. This vase will work in any Mission, Arts and Crafts or country decor. In fact, I think it will work with most decors including primitives. The vase was produced during Weller's early Middle Period. This piece was made circa 1915-1920. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
