Description: Available is an Officially licensed 2007 (Rhino Entertainment) Family Dog lithograph concert poster for the Blues Project and the Great Society with Grace Slick appearing at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, during April 1966. The Art was designed by Wes Wilson and this is the Original Test Proof from his personal collection making it truly one of a kind. The run that was available to the public had an edition size of just 500. The image is #5 the Family Dog series and features a tokin' Native American with Uncle Sam gear and commemorates the first event put on by the Family Dog at the Avalon Ballroom. It also marks the first appearance of the Family Dog motto "May the baby Jesus shut your mouth and open yer mind." This Oversized Lithograph measures approximately 27" X 37 1/2" and is printed on thick high quality cotton rag paper and is in Good condition with handling around the border areas as seen in the scans. The Size of this Litho makes the Art truly Mind Blowing in person. The late Wes Wilson was considered the Godfather of the Psychedelic Poster and I had the opportunity to spend some time with him some years back. I also befriended his daughter Karen and this Lithograph has been in her family possession for years. Wes signed Test Signature on this one and many other of his posters for her.
