AROH 31 St. 1919.Dear Sir, Just a few lines to let you know that I am well hoping that this letter will find you feeling the age,Deer sir i bein in France for over five months and I haven't heard fro = you since i bei over hear as I know that I am writing to you at least once a month but it seems that I never received any answer from you as you know that you what you said to me before I left not to for- get and write to now and then but I am always writing but i never getany answer.Dear Sir I am having a grand time ever hear all the nice Madenoiselle and every thing that you want over and plenty to drink to I think that France will go dry like the States will.well i have bein around a couple of places in France but this is the b best that I have struck so far the Place is called Tours and beleive me it le some tour to you see I landed in Brost that is the worst place on earth and more than you could see in your life and it was always raining I never seen the sun as long as I was there and I was there for six days and I was glad to nove out of it then we rode the 3ox Car's Special and we rode for two days and one night and we stop at a place called St. Aignan we only stood there for one day but it wasn't a bad place at that then we got orders to nove but this time we didn't ride the special we walk about twelve miles and stop at a place called Contres there I s tood for about seven weeks that wasn't a bad place at that it was all right but not like our own home town you can betwell then about half of us got transfered to a place call- ed St. Pierre-des- Corps well that any place at all to speak of as you would call that a rest Camp but I don't think it is as I did more work there than I ever did any other place that I was at then I got Transfered to this placewell this ain't a bad place at all it is a nice lively town, well they had me working in and office for a while then they put me on a job as Orderly then they change it and gave me a job in the Post Office and that where I am at now and it is some job to as you know what you have to pass in the States to get a job in the Post Offie e well when I once get out of it never again as you haven't any time to yourself as you are always working. Dear Sir how is all the Boy's inthe shop are they all right and tell then all that I was ask ing for then all will you, Well I will close this time by sending my reguards to you and to all the Boy's and Girl's at the shop Well how is your son making out is he all right as I hope I run across him over hear, Well by by for a while until we meet.AS I REMAINYOUR FRIENDPVT.
