Description: Original WW2 GERMAN Map entitled "KUFSTEIN". KUFSTEIN is a town in Austria, but the map mostly covers an area of Southern Germany. The key simply refers to the whole area covered as "DEUTSCHES REICH". It's headed "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" (equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map). Printed in April 1941. In great condition with some margin trimming having taken place at some point in its history. From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence ink stamping to margin. (Following both World Wars, the government distributed excess stocks of Allied maps, along with captured enemy examples, to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.) Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines.
